Day 461:28th Dec, 2010

Oops, that one day of TT has left me with a nagging body ache.

Anyways, Pachpan came back to campus today (temporarily - he seems to be planning to live this term outside). And with him, came back the zealous pursuit of kiddish nonsense. The seeds though were (for a change) sown by MMR, who concocted one absolutely news piece of "information" about me. I had no intentions to have any stand on that, and that didn't help their cause (unless their cause was exclusively about fun). Even roping in Haathi, they went to confront Chatur. After a lot of data mining, finally they found something which eventually turned out to be absolutely out of context anyways. But yes, they did end up having a ball.

I spent a good bit of the evening arranging a gift for my Dad's birthday tomorrow. Somehow, I could not buy a greeting card, and even getting one now would not ensure it would reach home on time. So I spent some time researching other options. A little after going through the standard options of flowers and cakes, I came across a more innovative and hatke gifting idea. Promptly spent some time creating a collage of the (extremely limited) pics that I had; did manage to create a decent one though :) Felt good!

Went pretty late to the mess for dinner, but surprisingly, it was actually - hold your breath - good today! Simple but tasty food, with some nice kheer at the end for desserts. MessComm, why can't we have this everyday!

I skipped night mess thinking I'll retire to bed early. But as usual, reading random blogs have kept me awake for a lot of time. And a nice 1 hour long call with a close friend to end the day on a nice note :-)

Day 246: 7th Mar, 2010 - Choices!

Choices. Life is a lot about choices. Either crying over the lack of any or complaining about the presence of many. Today we had to choose electives for the 2nd year - in the field of your interest. Field of interest - an option that I had asked myself when I filled the CAT entrance forms. A decision I was quizzed about in my mock and the actual interviews. A thing I repeatedly thought about during the summer placement process. I only went on being more unsure. And so I still had to think today. And that's not the worst part. Worst part is - I am not yet done thinking about it at all! (And I doubt if I ever will be :D).

Continued with my sleep marathon today too. Woke up at 12.45! That's sleeping through the extra alarm that I had set. Continued to be docile and sleepy. Dealt with a small stomach upset I had (most probably 'cos of yesterday's visit to Ma Durgama), skipping lunch. Transferred a few more songs to my ipod shuffle, though unfortunately I couldn't find time to hear them, thanks to the elective choosing session that followed.

Had a nice long chat with Sud - pretty cryptic conversation for most part of it. One that I am especially bad at. Something for me to improve upon. (Amongst a lot of others..)

Day 245: 6th Mar, 2010 - Ruk kyu gaye, bajao!

It's 4.15 am. I am not at all sleepy. And this is even after returning to my room after 3 hours of non-stop dance and fun at the insti party we had today. Can be partly attributed to the fact that I have a feeling that I am in an inebriate state of mind, though not with a drop of alcohol. My mind is suddenly filled with lots zillions of random thoughts. And for the same reason given to you in the line above. Though I am not sure which is the cause and which is the effect.

Anyways, continuing the rant.

A random gtalk conversation suddenly shifted to a question in which I sat down to think of a reason for some action. And I suddenly realised I didn't have any. Things didn't end there. I thought of a few other things I did today. No reasons. Don't jump to conclusions and declare me to be a man devoid of logic and one who takes only emotional decisions. No, not me. But strangely enough, everything I did today was without reason.

My day began with blissfully sleeping through multiple alarms and being a little late to class, mainly because I was finishing up an assignment. (in which, later I realised, I had written answers to the wrong Qs!). Anyways, I sat for 75 out of 90 minutes and did not get attendance. But I still sat. I had better things to do, but I saw LOST. I wanted to go to watch a movie, but I didn't. I didn't feel like attending the insti party, but I did (thankfully! :P). Basically you get the gist.

Ok, so? Well.. nothing. And that is why NOT having a reason is irritating.

Coming back to the insti party. (I already told you it's a rant). Am glad I went. Danced a lot, but we did not have a great DJ, so somehow seemed less active. 2-3 full sized people sat on me randomly, even as a classmate pressed my nostrils tight :D . Worst part was that this insti party got over at 2 am (even worse than the fact that those fatsos almost killed me ) !! Can you believe that.. !! as early as that..!! To whomsoever concerned - we haven't even warmed up guys!!

And ya, the promised book yatra. I completed '2 states'. :) Not that I wasn't able to locate a few of my own! :P . Anyways, his previous two books sucked, especially considering the standards set by five point someone but this one has that nice wry humor about it. I would definitely recommend a READ.

Day 243: 4th Mar, 2010 - Aaraam :D

Am wondering how days are SO free suddenly. Had only ONE lecture today, and I bunked even that one to get some extra sleep. Went to the city to get my specs repaired. Played a round of pool at H11. Continued the sporting equipment hunt ;-) and then played around 15-16 games (!!!) of TT with Kaushik :D. Then saw 3 episodes of LOST and am now done with season 3. Followed that up with dinner and some hockey action in the mess followed by an exploratory walk around the campus. Back to my room and I hear we have only 2 hrs of lectures tomorrow.

C'est la vie!

Day 207: 27th Jan, 2010

A relatively mellow day only turned out to be an antithetical beginning to the night. Today saw one of the craziest acts our wing has seen (in close competition to Dixit's tantrums on spotting a lizard 2 billion light years away).

Started off pretty simple - I was lost in yet another episode of LOST when Dixit and KK walked into my room, for some usual tp. To cut out another long story, I'll just say Dixit took my bottle of water on purpose to provoke me, and I responded :-p . I responded by taking all the bottles of water I could lay my hands on and pouring/splashing it on Dixit. Unfortunately, Dixit chose to run into KK's room and poor KK had to pay the price as the whole drama unfolded there!

Went on to celebrate SKD and ADJ's birthdays. SKD had already been handed a warm up greet by his Manfester friends. ADJ was the more untraceable one, until the INDEX ops guy (me!) decided to take things (in this case, ADJ's neck) into his hands - literally tracked him down at some hidden lane on campus and brought him to GnB :D . Of course, that was followed by the customary celebrations. Again, shared responsibility eventually became no one's responsibility - and we had to make-do with a sandwich cake.

Today also saw two of my friends Pindyck and Yogs clear their CFA exams. So the celebrations were extended to include them as well :D . At one point of time, Yogs came charging like a raging bull to butt his sauce-laden head right into Pindyck's tummy, leaving a nice impression :D

Day 197: 17th Jan, 2010 - Nothingness

Woke up at 12. Had lunch. Did some tp. Chatted a lot. Snacks. Chatted more. Dinner. Zzz @ 10. Woke up to find everything dark..I thought it must be around 5. Discovered it was just 2am. Remembered that we had to submit a comm assignment tomorrow. Sat up on the comp. Only ended up chatting some more. And height of heights - spent around 30min looking up 'joke' on wikipedia :D

Day 194: 14th Jan, 2010

Another of this witty prof statements today. Our SCM prof caught one of the students sleeping and told him - "Please go wash your face and come. If you will be sleepy, you will induce sleeping in your neighbours as well. Only studies will not get induced amongst you all" :D

During the previous sem, Shreyas used to kill time and nurture his grey matter by coming up with anagrams for names of people. For samplers, sec B people reading this, try figuring out who are 'HIS JAM RAN RASH', 'I IN TAJ A DAY', 'BRAINS' :-p . Anyways, he was regretting that he had run out of names and consequently had nothing to do. So I came to his rescue and gave him the task of coming up with AB dialogues. Somewhere along, we also started listing AB movies. Definitely took all the lecture time quickly. Lecture ended with a grand altercation between Sudesh and Kans over attendance :D

Had pizza for lunch - Sarin's treat for his engagement! Topic revolved a bit around a similar theme ;-)

Saw Invictus in the evening. It's a movie based on the time when Nelson Mandela was just elected as the president. A nice watch, I recommend. The title of the movie, however, is also the title of a poem by W.E. Henley. The poem is one of the finest I have read. Do check it out at http://www.poemhunter.com/poem/invictus/

Day 193: 13th Jan, 2010 - Aal izz helL!

This sleep thing has already cost me my breakfast over the week. Today, it almost cost my first absent mark of the term. After snoozing/closing a billion alarms right from 6 am to 8 am, I tried to satiate my greed for further sleep by lying in my bed for a few more minutes. Or so I thought. Until eco stud Pindyck (whom I usually wake up every morning!) bangs my door at 8:54 shouting "abbe saale, 6 min mei class hai". And that the first lec was from a professor who was pretty strict about the timings. Managed to finish off the most basic routine actions and run my way into the lecture in those 6 minutes.

Profs here sometimes show a really nice sense of humor. It so happened that the FM 2 prof used a chalk which was a little light in colour and so a girl from the last bench requested the prof to use another colour chalk. With a nice smirk on his face, the prof walks and picks up a PINK chalk and asks "Is this fine?" :D

In one of my earlier posts, I made fun of people who sleep late making a presentation and consequently miss the class the next day. Happenstance - the very next day I slept off and missed a quiz. Yesterday I made fun of all the Lost and Found mails. Today, temporarily, my bike went missing! Fortunately, did happen to trace it to some other location where it was parked :-p

And this one is the biggie of the day. Even before coming to helL (just IIM L then :p), I had wanted to do these 2-3 things. One was to maintain a daily blog - check. Other was to indulge in something like jogging to build my stamina. Finally, I have a start in that direction. Jogged today, must be around 3.5-4 km.. but sure seemed A LOT more ! BTW, inspiration for this sudden act was a denim which seemed to have become tighter than ever before :D

And finally trying to take part in one of these competitions. Brainstormed (I like the word :-D) a little with Meenal and Pankaj. We got really happy when we came up with what we saw were some cool novel ideas. But bloody every idea seems to have been thought of previously! It is but a small world..!

Back to my room and some music later, I realise it's 4 am now.. Class tomorrow @ 9.. sigh! Aal izz helL!

Day 181: 26th Dec, 2009

Mei aa raha hoon !

As expected, MANAC 2 paper turned out to be a mixture of problems based on by-hearting some formulae (variance kind) and problems based on common sense. Managed a little bit of both. So should get through with respectable marks overall.

One decision had been hanging. A problem of plenty, which is sometimes more difficult than the problem of scarcity. I had multiple choices, and had to choose one. Made that decision. And finalised it before I could have second thoughts again.

Slept off in the afternoon. Woke up coolly in the evening. And just didn't want to study. Who keeps a stupid paper like DWO as the last one?! How on earth is one supposed to study anything in that?! (though I guess I would have said this for any subject falling on the last day of exams :-p). And nobody around was studying.. nobody! I indulged in some music, little bit of HIMYM and general tp. Went to the mess at around 12 midnight to meet the topper himself (coincidentally .. Shreyas :-p). Chatted along for some time. Came back to my room at around 1.30 am. Finally started studying... or should I say tried to start... since I eventually started listening to music again! Finally at around 3, I opened up some ppt.. and now after reading it for some 15-20 minutes, sleep is taking over :D

And just before I end today's post.. must mention this.. sudden deluge of 'coming back' kind of messages as the gtalk status of people. And so I go with the flow. My gtalk status - (Mumbai) mei aa raha hoon !

Day 169: 14th Dec, 2009

Gory Story

Well, I didn't exactly mean my life at IIM L with the title ;-) . The thing in reference is the movie Kill Bill. It was one of those many movies that I somehow was never able to watch from start to end - something or the other would ALWAYS interrupt the session. Until today. Finally I got to witness the bloody tale of revenge. And what a movie - in a league of its own!

A more pertinent association is with our esteemed alumnus, late Manjunath. He was heartlessly shot dead. His fault? He stood up to fight corruption. I wrote a small poem dedicated to him. You can read it here.

Some solid masala tales of the insti party are coming out now :D. Woww!

Sleeping pretty late today. It's almost 5 am. Of course, being winter, I don't get to watch the first rays of the sun before I sleep :-p

Day 168: 13th Dec, 2009

When a Sunday is a Sunday!

What used to happen week after week, until the last few weeks, finally happened again - A Sunday that was free! I woke up after 11 and I can't even recollect the last time I did that :D . So a yeyy for that definitely!

The more fun part of the day was when dada a.k.a. serial entrepreneur called. The guy had woken up with a big bump on his head. And without any idea of how he got to his room in the first place :D . And his attempts to try and realise what happened :D .

In the evening, I went to execute a top secret mission with my wing mate Pindyck.
Objective: To buy and sneak a banned substance into the campus.
We managed to find it, at a place closer than what we thought. And brought it back - in white and black plastic bags. No, I am not going to name what I bought. But it ain't alcohol (sorry!.. the black bag is misleading :P) or any banned drugs and definitely not any other extreme option that you are thinking :-p

Day 159: 4th Dec, 2009

Random boredom inspired creativity prompted this new idea. Starting today, I will be having a 'Guest Writers' Week'. Basically, a few of my friends will be writing the entries for the blog, describing their day - as just another student at IIM L :)

The inaugural entry is by Shreyas. He sits right next to me. We share a kindred spirit, especially in our nonchalance to academics. Here is what he wrote, reproduced as it is.

--------------------

Let me start by thanking, the electricstorm for giving me the first opportunity for a guest column in his famous blog. Yeah believe me its famous, he has references! Plus you will get to know its popularity when you will read guest columns from exceptional campus personalities in the days to follow.

To keep with the tone of this blog, I will stick to the daily happenings, sharing what transpired and add my take on what all of it meant. So the day was Friday the 4th and it started off in the worst possible way, with Sehwag missing his thrid tripple. Just so you know the tambrahm was hardly bothered. But the day rode on to better things. In the first lecture itself, SS gave me the offer to write this column. Now, these are the kind of things that we do during classes. That is only when the moustache monger doesnt doze. That day was inclined towards brainstorming on the ideal genetic qualities that the tamil manus' better half should have. Now i think its a bit personal to him for me to share what he thought were the desired attributes, although i know all the galz out there must be dying to know. But broadly they included a complementary set to his attributes, so basically fairness and intelligence are a given :P.

As the day wore on, 99 and me parted ways after lunch to get to our own things. Now that Index is over he is by and large free (please don't judge me for making a politically incorrect statement here :P). I on the other hand did my regular stuff, which is not relevant here. 101 had a b-plan competition for which he had to leave mid way through a class after completing that presentation. This guy is really cut out to be self made, and even though he might have been second in the competition, he is going to be first one day and make it count. There is ofcourse an ongoing competition between Soumen Abhiyaan Das and Shindex on who is more free each day. I think it will go on for a while :P

So cut to the evening, as the fellowship of the ring went to watch the movie, but we did not bring SK and Sud along, because some people have some problems with some people. We went to Mint, had good chicken and then watched the movie of our times - Paa. Now needless to say that AB is the master and all these tatpunjia's such as Shahrukh khan and aamir khan are not even as good as his crap. But the movie takes you with it, you feel like you are practically in the actual setting. The dialogues are crisp, the script is discrete and the fun is amazing. And its not just an AB devotee like me who is saying this, even Americanised dehateez like Maanas loved the movie. That says quite a bit.

So that was 4th Dec for you, another day in the life of I-am-still considering-Fin Kumar. Its actually wonderful that he has maintained this blog on the money. Since I sit right next to him, I practically share half the day with him. So even if I have to look back at these memories in the years to come, I can count on this account. I hope Shivku takes it to the end and hopefully he will invite me again to write for his blog.

Adios everyone,
and thanks Shiv(a)kumar

Shreyas

--------------------

Thanks Shreyas :) Good one! Just an additional note to remember the small bit where Besgi and Souvick were competing :D. And Souvick won hands down ;-)

Day 151: 26th Nov, 2009

Waiting . . .
Waiting . . .
Waiting . . .

This is exactly what I did for most part of the day today!

Now ... I am gifted with an incredible amount of patience, but I am not particularly fond of using it. Especially when the mistake is not mine!

So ... the day started with a visit to the Army Printing press to get some printouts for the INDEX entry tickets. Point is, I was supposed to collect half those tickets since I had to take them to the entertainment office for some stamping or something. So this fellow there was sent an email informing him about the same. But no, he didn't read the email and his man already started out on his journey to the college :-S . So there I was, WAITING at his office early in the morning, for the man to come back. And the promised 20min waiting time turned out to be a boring 45min! And NO, that one cup of watery tea did no good.

Next stop - a government office. No wonder all the officials there were bald... the place is so full of laziness that even the dead cells in your hair would not want to be pushed up above the scalp. I went up to that office and asked where I was supposed to get the permission from. First of all, no one, absolutely NO ONE, wanted to answer. Then I went to specific individuals, got diverted to a couple of other tables before finally reaching an individual who incidentally was right in front when I first asked my question in the room :-S .

Just a few permissions were what I needed after all. So now that I got the person, work should be simple right? HAHA! :-S . What happened next is reason enough for Riza to be bashed up black and blue. Apparently, one extra thing, a tiny detail, about the split up of entertainment tax, needed to be included in the ticket! And this we missed out! Bamm!

So there I was, out of the office, hunting for a person who makes stamps. As I went to new roads and areas I had no clue about (Aminabad or some similar sounding aabaad :-S ), I finally hunted down one shop doing this. And here came my second round of WAITING ! Well, atleast I had opted for the more expensive - but faster to make - stamps so that I can hurry back quickly and finish off the work soon. Or so I thought.

Part 3. I reach the office back around 1.15-1.30. Man in question missing. Out for lunch.
1.45 pm. No sign yet. he'll come back soon now.
2.00 pm. No sign yet. official hours must be over now. he'll come back soon I guess.
2.15 pm. No sign yet. why isn't he back yet?!
2.30 pm. The two officials next to him put stamps for some new people! When I asked them to do it for me, they replied saying they can't interfere with what some one else has started! why the $#^& is he not back yet?! kitna khaega?!!
2.45 pm. No sign of this person. I try to use some logical arguments to convince the neighbouring officials. They countered me with some illogical arguments. Trust me, it is damn difficult to fight those weapons. The remaining officials sat around discussing whether a bakri should be cut or not. WTF! What about me getting halaal-ed at that very moment?!
3.00 pm. I am going to shoot this man when I see him. Sudden realisation - Wait a minute, is he coming back at all?! :-O
3.15 pm. He finally comes back. Some festive lunch apparently somewhere! And he says - "aap abhi tak yahin ho? woh stamp kyun nahi lagaya abhi tak?" mujhe kya pata.. aakashvani aayi thi kya koi !!

So finally I get out of that place at close to 4'0 clock, eating a couple of bananas for lunch. And after lots and lots of WAITING.

Had a very heavy bag thanks to all the tickets. Went with that to a few local vendors and distributed our invites. Came back with a couple of hours to spare before dinner. I need rest. Have a night out in the city!

Day 138: 13th Nov, 2009

My sleep saga has no end. This phenomenon of unforced extra sleep is a sure fixture in atleast one paper. This time the opportunity cost involved eco. Slept off at 11pm and woke up straight at around 8.15am :-O . Thankfully for me, the respite was that it was one of the easier papers we saw this term. Not just in relative terms (which wasn't too difficult to achieve given the other papers) but also in absolute terms. Post exam analysis revealed that the ENTIRE paper was an EXACT COPY of last year's paper :-S . And then he cuts our marks for copying in assignments :-)

First time this semester that we spent time doing random tp. Afterall, DWO tomorrow. Although it has maximum syllabus, the very thought of going in its vicinity is sleep provoking :-S . We were treated to enlightening facts about RBI and Air India by Pills. The 'proud-of-being-an-AirIndia-frequent flyer' literally has the timetable of AI flights by heart :D . Not to undermine Riza's stories about Bangalore's uncovered under-bridges and the plight of the people when a train passes above :-p

Played some TT post dinner. Although at best an average player, I do take TT a little seriously in a weird sort of way when it comes to improving myself. My game has improved a little. Very little though. Lots more to achieve in terms of reduction of unforced errors.

Came to my room and finally was about to start studying when Dhamdhere called me to the mess. There I go again. DWO... so long...

Day 129: 4th Nov, 2009

Finally finished off with Rocky series! And what a place to finish it off.. the Reliance VideoConf webworld @ the city! The main advantage was that I got a chance to finally have a coffee from CCD @ Lucknow.

Normalcy is settling in. People have started wondering about the state and fate of quizzes, assignments and all. Regular classes from tomorrow! Boo hoo! :(

Slept off early. Apparently the batch meet had a billion forced claps churned out. Clap for this and clap for that. Pretty random.

Woke up at around 3 am. Wasn't sleepy. Went for a cup of coffee. Was real nice of this pretty dame to give me company. Makes me laugh when I think about my initial attempts about building up the 'other CV' :D

ps: pitstops for the day - insurance, heathcare IT conultancy

Day 115: 21st Oct, 2009

Got a feel of being an Ops guy today. Had classes till 1.30 and then a quiz at 4.30. Squeezed in a visit to the city in the small time gap. Of course, the inspiration was my senior Ops INDEXian Praveen, who had a midterm in the evening! BTW, I rode Praveen's bike today and it has become much much better since before (click here for earlier post) after the much needed servicing.

About the quiz. Subject was FM (financial management) and the topic was 'Risk and Return'. Basically the topic was all about how diversification in your portfolio helps to reduce risk. And here comes the extreme irony. The quiz paper had ONLY ONE question in it! How the helL are we supposed to reduce our risk in this case?! **confused shrug**

One of those nice lucky evenings when we had no forms to fill. Myself, Shreyas, Soumen and Preeti spent a good amount of time doing random bakwas over chai.

Day 97: 3rd Oct, 2009

As a soon-to-be manager (safe assumption), today I am truly impressed with the importance of delivering a promise to a customer. So basically what happened is my DELL charger stopped working suddenly. And unlike all the innumerable bad experiences one typically has with many other consumer firms (telecom service providers, malls, food courts, restaurants), getting this issue resolved was a breeze. I called a toll-free number, got through easily to a support person, who asked me to run some program. When that didn't work, I called up the support line again and this time they said they'll just replace the charger. Next day (INSPITE of the fact that it was a holiday!), the DELL guy promptly delivered the new working charger right to my hostel room. Really impressive! As a consumer, this is something that would weigh a LOT on my mind when I would be making a purchase decision.

Went off to catch 'Wake up Sid' in the afternoon with Chajju. Pachpan ditched us for his XL-ency but eventually paid the price for it :-p . I really liked the movie though.

Evening spent time with all the INDEX junta. Random timepass and gupshup. In between went out to see the much awaited Fash P (fashion parade) ! Was pretty nice (as if that wasn't obvious why :-p). Made good use of my RSP whistle :D .

Varchasva sports are going great with IIM L winning almost everything. (No match fixing, I assure you!) Apparently in tennis, XL guys were serving underarm and Vanki comes up with dialogues like - "Serve like a man dude". hehehehe :D

Also had caught some sleep sometime in the evening . So at 5.30 am, I am wide awake as an owl. Will miss breakfast for the third consecutive day I guess. Lets see.

Days 92,93,94: 28th-30th Sep, 2009

Yooooooooooooooooooo!!!

Back to helL and how!! Been a super duper hectic three days! The previous two days I slept at 4.45am and 4am respectively! Had a good deal of INDEX work to be done for the PGP1 exclusive event that we will be conducting. No wonder, my only task during lectures was in trying my level best to make sure that my eyelids remain apart. And I definitely didn't make a good deal of it :D

BTW, we have all new profs this term. My first lecture was OM 2. Really nice prof... he put down his rules of discipline initially and basically said you do anything which won't disturb the class and explicitly stated that sleeping is OK. No sooner had he made an invitation to offer than I grabbed the opportunity with both hands. Actually I grabbed my spectacles, set them aside and just dozed off on the bench :D . I don't intend to make this any habit though! Was introduced to the some other subjects - Marketing Management(MM), Financial Management(FM), MANAC II, Designing Work Organisations(DWO), QAM II - and respective profs later on. Each one seems to be different from the other.

In midst of all this, had a Dandiya night in college yesterday. Played a bit there. Was fun! Had a fun cricket match today - Harmony Cup! by Bhavishya. INDEX v/s India. Total timepass. Showed some amazing batting skill and helped my team win 4 wides :-p. Anyways, we still allowed India to win the match, mainly because of the patriotism and the INDEX party in plan tomorrow ;-)

Today it is 5.30am - Sunrise happening even as I write this. Truly and completely back to helL! I was told this term is going to be hectic. Now I know (a bit).

Day 89: 17th Sep, 2009

The eco paper was pretty interesting. Actually the paper wasn't, but the situations/dialogues preceding and succeeding it were. There is always this class of people who study hard but feel they have done nothing and their polar opposites who hardly study. The interaction when members of these species come against each other is pretty funny, usually loaded with sarcasm from the latter kind (probably because they have nothing better than sarcasm to offer :-p). Sample these dialogues from today:

- "Yaar, I haven't done Prisoners' dilemma... " .... [ oh shit! you mean you missed one topic in the whole book? How could you!" ]

- "Acha hua objectives tha yaar... bach gaye!" ... [ "umm...ohkkk! :-/ " ]

- "I actually had to guess seven of those twenty objectives!" ... [ "padhke aana chahiye tha na!" ]

One section mate (also my hostel wing mate) , who usually is pretty senile, has become a little bit of a psycho :-p . And that is because he lost a WHOLE 4 marks in the paper! And then there are souls who are dancing with joy, realising that a portion of their answer is correct and they will get some marks in it !

Celebrated with pizza for dinner. Celebrated what? Well, if you need a reason:
- life
- 4 exams, 4 nightouts (not everyone's cup of tea :D)
- only 2 more to go
- 2 days to go home!!

Get the drift? Celebrate, then find reasons. Had the company of Shreyas, Kaushik, Meshed (special thanks Meshed for the time :-p) and 55.Saurabh. Discussed some pressing issues amongst other things. Had a chill time.

Still got 2 exams though. Will remind myself in some time about it. Time to take a small nap now. Bon nuit.

Day 78: 6th Sep, 2009

There is complete chaos, what with all the submissions, quizzes, assignments, projects, etc. My friend Sumantra had this wonderful gtalk status - "Complete Madness:learning marketing in ITC, excel in BIO and ECO, maths in MANAC, operations in maths, philosophy and BIO in OM" :D And mind you, I haven't even included anything about studying for the end terms next week!

In the midst of all this, had a three hour INDEX meet in the afternoon to evening. It was a good productive meet. Had snacks at the mess and went to my room.

Then I did something only I am capable of doing. Just ignored this truckload of stuff that was pending (I have 2 quizzes tomorrow - OM, QAM), took my ipod shuffle and went for a walk around the campus! Spent around an hour listening to music. Came to my room and chatted for around another couple of hours. Went to the night mess with a couple of friends. (The mess was EMPTY! :O:O) Back to my room and I am finally thinking of opening the book. How many pages will I turn before I doze off? Will know tomorrow!
